At BAE Systems, we’re driven by a shared ambition to safeguard people and national security. We protect those who protect us. That mission extends to a deep commitment in supporting the military community through programs and partnerships designed to prioritize support as you transition into the next phase of your life. We understand the unique challenges that come with transition because much of our team has also “been there.” Nearly 20% of our workforce holds a veteran status and we place a high value on providing a fulfilling career experience for those who have sacrificed so much to protect the freedoms we enjoy.

We have a dedicated military hiring team, are a proud authorized SkillBridge organization, have veteran specific benefits, and Hiring our Heroes, Veterans Jobs Mission, Wounded Warrior Regiment, and USSOCOM Care Coalition are just a few organizations we have long-standing commitments with.

Please visit our military and veterans page to learn more, use our military skills translator, meet fellow service members and explore featured roles at BAE Systems.

For additional recommendations, explore our two-year military separation careers blog or connect with our military hiring team.

Military experience can substitute for qualifications like a degree, with service time requirements varying by role. Higher-level positions may need more experience, but specifics depend on the job. Check each posting for detailed qualifications.

Yes, we depend heavily on the cleared community or the ability to obtain a clearance to complete our mission. You can see the clearance level required for each role on the job posting. Click here to learn more about the security clearance process.

We also have the Warrior Integration Program, a multi-year rotational program for post 9/11 combat wounded service members designed for career progression and development. For those looking to continue their service, we have accommodating pay and leave policies for Guard or Reserve members.

Begin by asking yourself if you want to do something like your role in the military or something completely new. This will help you find roles you’re interested in.

Next, use our military skills translator on our military and veterans page. By keying in your MOS, Rating, or AFSC you will be provided with job opening results that align with your military skillset. Next, read our job descriptions in their entirety. Many times, you will find useful information in the job description that will help you refine your resume prior to application.
