Break into aerospace and defense at BAE Systems. With access to on-site training, mentorship, and tuition reimbursement, you will be provided with the support you need to grow and thrive along the way.
As we create next-generation technology and processes, we need you to guide the way. As an intern, you will work in a hands-on setting alongside industry experts in functions like engineering, cybersecurity, manufacturing, business development and everything in between to help us solve some of the world's greatest challenges. It's all part of our Learn, Engage, Apply, and Progress (LEAP) program designed to give you real-world experience. "I worked on providing control and maintenance functions to the hydraulic systems of aircrafts during my internship. My tasks included updating, running, and reviewing tests in response to requirement updates and additions from our clients. Our Leadership Development Programs (LDPs) are designed for high-potential early-career professionals determined to become the leaders of tomorrow. Applications for the LDP open in August and typically run through September, with programs beginning the following June. We have opportunities in the following functions:

We will give you the tools to be successful. Below are some of the things you will experience in the leadership development program.
Gain diverse work experience
LDPs typically consist of three, one-year full-time rotations across different locations nationwide. Rotations are designed to provide a varied set of experiences and connections within your discipline.
Expand your knowledge
LDP participants are encouraged to complete a graduate degree during their time in the program. We will provide tuition assistance, on the condition the degree is applicable to the business.
With customized mentorship and networking opportunities, chances to travel, attend conferences, receive technical training and more, the LDP provides a true foundation for a successful career.

Held annually, the Leadership Development Conference (LDC) is a week-long event focused on team building, networking, and professional growth for all members of the LDP. The 2022 LDC theme was "Better Together," as it was the first in-person conference since 2019.
