Job Scam Notice

BAE Systems always has great job opportunities, and scammers think so too. To help all job applicants be informed and alert to the possibility that they may be subjected to unauthorized activities by a scammer, please review the following information about BAE Systems’ actual job selection process.

Confirm the application process.
If someone reaches out to you with a job offer, and you have not submitted a formal application, or completed an interview, it is most likely not a legitimate offer. 

You can always check the progress of your submitted application(s) by logging into our
Applicant Tracking System (domain: https://sjobs.brassring.com). 

BAE Systems will never: 
- Offer you a job without receiving a formal application through our Applicant Tracking System
- Offer you a job without interviewing you first. 

BAE Systems will: 
-Require you to
create an account and log in before a job application can be filled out.
-Require a completed job application be submitted for a specific opening listed on our careers site. 
-Post all currently available job openings, which can be reviewed
here (domain: https://jobs.baesystems.com).


Check who is reaching out to you.It is unfortunately easier than ever before to impersonate others online. 

BAE Systems will never: 
- Use WhatsApp, Signal, Google Chat, Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail or other similar public accounts to communicate with you, schedule, or conduct an interview. 
- Use an email address with any domain other than @baesystems.us (U.S. careers). 

BAE Systems will: 
- Use a @baesystems.us (U.S. careers). email address to communicate with you. 
- Typically, schedule a phone screening, as well as at least one additional interview (virtual or in-person) before proceeding with the hiring process. 


Beware of suspicious requests.
Most scams are designed to obtain personal information from you. This can take many different forms. 

BAE Systems will never: 
- Ask you for money. We do not ask candidates for money in any format, or for any reason through the application or hiring process. 
- Offer to send you a check, or any form of payment before you report to your new job, or do any work. 
Require you provide sensitive information, such as your social security number or Driver’s License (this happens much later as part of the background check process).

BAE Systems will: 
- Keep you updated in line with the information you see on the candidate zone. If you receive an offer, you will receive it after completing the steps previously outlined, from a member of our Talent Acquisition team. 
- Inform you of next steps following the acceptance of your offer (background checks, clearance if applicable, etc.) and answer any questions you may have about that process.
