About our CO facilities

There are three Space & Mission Systems sites across the Greater Denver Area located in Broomfield; Boulder; and Westminster, Colorado. These sites are all within less than 15 miles from each other. There is also a small BAE Systems presence in Colorado Springs and Aurora, CO with our Intelligence & Security sector.

Broomfield

As the headquarters for Space & Mission Systems (SMS), our Broomfield site is roughly 630,000 sq ft and houses around 25% of our workforce, while driving strategic direction and innovation for the team. The site also houses key engineering and manufacturing operations. This campus was recently expanded to include a state-of-the-art payload development facility, adding additional offices, cleanroom space, advanced integration and test areas, and a Mission Support Center that provides post-launch support for a variety of programs. These upgrades further enhance Broomfield's capabilities and reinforce its position as a center of excellence.

Boulder

Since 1956, our Boulder campus has been a cornerstone of our engineering and manufacturing operations, covering nearly 700,000 sq ft. The highlight of this campus is our Fisher Manufacturing Complex, which houses many capabilities focused on space system manufacturing, assembly, integration and test. Here you will find some of the largest test chambers in the country – allowing us to deliver on large spacecraft missions or test multiple spacecraft at once.
