About the facility

Jacksonville Ship Repair (JSR) boasts a floating dry dock, marine railways, ample pier space, and a crane capacity of up to 150 tons. Strategically located two miles from the Atlantic Ocean at the intersection of the St. Johns River and Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway, JSR is in a period of growth. Scheduled for completion in 2025, BAE Systems' new shiplift complex will increase dry docking capacity by 300 percent, making it the most capable ship repair facility in the Southeastern United States.
